   Short CV

I am professor in social science genetics at the  La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin Madison and also hold an appointment at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam at the Department of Economics.

My research investigates how genes influence economic behavior, and how insights into the genetic architecture of behavioral outcomes can inform social and medical research. Some of my work also explores how the brain mediates relationships between genes and human behavior. I am one of the principal investigators and co-founders of the Social Science Genetic Association Consortium (SSGAC), the BIG BEAR Consortium, and the Externalizing Consortium.

I am also the chairman of the DeSci Foundation and co-founder of DeSci Labs AG - two initiatives that aim to use web3 technologies to make science more replicable, accessible, transparent, and fairer.
